Private/Custom Tours
Tell us what you're looking for in your dream beer tour!
Private tours can go to any breweries/distilleries/meaderies/cideries/bars you choose. They are available 7 days a week and can be booked at any time. Private Tours are great for corporate/convention visitors, work parties, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, fundraisers and charities, or maybe you just want to get some friends together and taste a variety of craft beers and don't want to be responsible for driving.
*To find out more/book Private Tours please call us at 616-901-9719 or e-mail us at grbeertours@gmail.com*
What's included in the private tour?
Every private tour will be led by a knowledge beer tour guide. Beer samples are not automatically included in the initial price for private tours. Sample prices vary from brewery to brewery, with the beer samples included the price is very similar in the regular public tour pricing. With private tours we will help put together a schedule, make reservations when possible, and book private brewery tours where available. We are here to help you customize a tour for your ultimate beer tour experience.
What's the difference between the Passenger Van & the Bus?
The bus is more spacious, it has 13 separate seats. The ceiling is 6 feet high and the bus has a railing to help get on and off. The Passenger Van seats up to 14 sung, 13 more comfortably, in rows of 3 (back row up to 4). If you don't mind being a little snug with your friends, family, or co-workers, the van is spacious enough, it's treated us very well since 2014. Both vehicles have bluetooth allowing you to use your phone and connect to your music. The bus has a 19" t.v. so you can bring along one of your favorite DVD's and watch anything you want. You can even bring a flash drive, which is great for a business group if you need to present documents or Powerpoint to your group. Both vehicles will have a large cooler for you to store the beers you buy in. Both vehicles have complementary bottled waters and bagged snacks (pretzels or popcorn chips).
Pick Up & Drop off for Private Tours
For private tours you can be picked up anywhere in Michigan. If you are being picked up outside of Grand Rapids a fee will apply in accordance to your pick up/drop off spot.
*Private Walking Tours are also available. Click on Walking Tours to find out more.
Other Tour Info
You must be 21 or older if you plan to drink on the tour. If you are unable to provide us with a valid state I.D. and look under 40 you will be turned away with no refund. If you are under 21 we may be able to accommodate depending on the tour, please contact us about this.
We strongly encourage you have a designated ride after the tour is over, whether it be a friend or a taxi (we provide phone calls to local taxi services if & when needed).
Every public tour includes a lunch break at one of the designated brewery stops, except Walking Tours. Food is not included in the tour price.
Drinking too much? If we have reason to believe that you are intoxicated prior to a tour, we reserve the right to turn you away. If you are turned away due to intoxication or unsavory rowdy behavior no refund will be provided. The purpose of our tours is not to get overly intoxicated, but to experience the fine tastings of craft beers. Save the drinking for the tour, there will be plenty of delicious craft beers to enjoy, but no drinking on the van and limited amounts before hand.
