Bridge Street Walking Tour - Saturday, April 24 - 12-3pm
The Bridge Street Walking Tour will have you exploring the craft beer scene on the most beer drenched street in Grand Rapids!
On the tour you will be sampling some of the finest beers in Beer City and find out about the intriguing history of Grand Rapids beer culture on the historic west side. This tour will have you visiting New Holland's Knickerbocker, Atwater Brewery, & City Built Brewing Co. where you will go behind-the-scenes for a private brewery.
New Holland's Knickerbocker is the largest taproom in the state! This impressive taproom also has an impressive list of ales (many of which you can only get in the taproom). New Holland originally opened in 1997 in Holland, MI this location opened in September of 2016. New Holland is one of the largest craft breweries in Michigan, with beers like Dragon's Milk (bourbon-barrel aged stout) you will see why.
Atwater Brewery originally opened in 1997 in the Rivertown district of Detroit. We will be trying out their great craft beers on tap inside the historic Rowe Building, downtown Grand Rapids. They are well known for their lagers, Vanilla Java Porter and Dirty Blonde. This location brews on-site several beers you cannot get elsewhere. On the tour you will get to choose any 4 samples of your liking from their extensive beer menu.
City Built Brewing Co. is unique to Grand Rapids with their vast array of beer styles and Puerto Rican food/tacos. Beers that have a following are Alemania (Mexican lager) & Melisandre (hoppy full body red ale).
Tour includes 9 large samples of beer, a private brewery at City Built Brewing Co. and a walk with a knowledgeable beer tour guide providing beer history of Grand Rapids old and new.
